Search Engine Optimization: Not A One Time Thing

1/7/2011

January 2011 Newsletter

Like all marketing initiatives, search engine optimization needs a strategy and a commitment for the long haul.  Just because you have a website doesn't mean you will automatically zoom to the top of the search results on the search engines.  Even if you know you have a search engine friendly website there are several other factors that play a roll in search engine page ranking. Some of those SEO opportunities have to be worked on monthly, weekly, even daily.

One thing is being found in the search engines for keyword phrases pertaining to your product or service.  You also really need to do the research on what those keyword phrases should be.  You might be surprised to find that the terms you would use, aren't necessarily the ones that "regular" people are using to find what you are selling.

Hiring a company that specializes in Search Engine Optimization to help you run keyword research, analyze your competitors websites and work out the best keyword phrases to go after is really the best bet.
And SEO company can help you write the content for your website. Pages without well-written,  keyword seeded content won't help you.

Search Engine Optimization is a must!  SEO is an ever moving target which requires you to constantly be looking at ways to increase your website's visibility. Sales & Marketing Technologies has a team of experts ready to do just that. Call us today to see how we can help you grow your business by increasing your website's position on the search engines. 407-682-2222 or visit www.smtusa.com

FITNESS TIPS: Easy ways to cut 500 calories

You probably already know the math: In order to drop 1 pound you have to cut roughly 3,500 calories. Based on that, losing a healthy pound a week, requires burning an extra 500 calories a day! But you don’t have to deprive yourself or add an hour to your exercise routine to reach your weight loss goals. Here are a few no-sweat tips for torching calories while at work.

Lunch Hour
Move on your lunch hour. A brisk 15-minute walk burns about 100 calories and gives you less time to eat. Walking during your lunch for five days can burn 500 extra calories. Not to mention, getting away from the buzz of the office and into the fresh air can help relieve stress.

Have a ball
“Trading your desk chair for a stability ball helps you burn extra calories because you’re forced to use your core muscles to stay stable,” says Marjorie Nolan, RD, CND, CPT and spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. “You could burn up to 350 extra calories over an eight-hour workday while helping to tone your stomach and boost circulation.”

Drink up
Swapping water for soda can save you roughly 300 calories a day if you drink two cans. But drinking 20 to 60 ounces of water daily might also help boost your metabolism so you burn even more calories. Research suggests that if you’re not getting enough water, your kidneys turn to your liver for help, which takes away from your fat-burning ability and slows metabolism.

Being healthy helps you feel better and feeling better can help you to be more productive at the office! For more great tips on ways to cut calories, visit Fitbie today.
