Gallagher Promotional Products has a great product line, but the way their old site displayed their promotional products was archaic. They needed a website that brought visitors in and drove them to make a purchase while also showcasing the products in a professional manner.

To do this, SMT’s web design and Internet marketing team had to take into account the large quantities of products that had to be organized and indexed by search engines. Attention-grabbing details were used throughout the site to highlight certain products while maintaining a catalog look and feel for a more traditional user who was used to ordering from a printed catalog as opposed to online.

Additional view options of the product were added to the layout of the pages so users could get a more realistic and accurate view of the product so they would be more inclined and confident to make a purchase. The overall design of the site was also more user-friendly and calls to action were strategically placed throughout the site to illicit a responsive action from the user. On top of making the site user friendly, the new web site was search engine friendly as well. This meant higher conversion rates and more visitors.

Since the development of Gallagher’s website that reformatted how users went through the online shopping and ordering process, the abandonment rate for online purchases decreased by over 80%, and the average cost per sale was lowered substantially.
