Today as I was setting up a Google Analytics profile, I noticed that there was a small, but neat little update to their conversion tracking. Typically you can setup your goals as specific URL's being visited. For example, if setup yourdomain.com/thank-you.html as your goal tracking URL and a visitor lands on that page, Google Analytics will count that was 1 goal (or otherwise known as conversion).
But today, I saw that Google is giving users two (2) more options for their goal tracking. The first one was Time on Site. Meaning, you can setup a specific amount of time (using the greater than or less than condition options) a user will be on your site to determine if a goal was successfully tracked. The time variable choices are hours, minutes, or even as granular as seconds. See picture below.
The second newly updated goal tracking option I saw was Pages Visited. Meaning that your goal tracking can be correlated to how many pages the user visited. Set the pages visited field to any number and then select a condition such as greater than, equal to, or less than. See picture below.
