Don't Hide Your Contact Number

October 12, 2010

Not displaying a contact phone number on the web site is an issue that we come across often when critiquing a site. By hiding or not displaying your contact number, you may end up frustrating your visitor enough that they leave the site. We always recommend to all of our clients to predominately display a strong call-to-action (CTA) that pushes the site visitor to either call them or to fill out their contact form.

We like to recommend that the CTA be placed in the top right corner of the page as this is the conventional spot that the information is found on most web sites. You also will want to reinforce the CTA within the body of the page as well as add the contact information to the footer (the bottom of the page) so if the site visitor scrolls to the bottom of the page the contact information is still available.

Finally, add your full contact information including your phone number on your "Contact Us" page.

Clear CTA and contact information can be a big part of converting sales! And who doesn't want that?
